Name: Blue Valentine, goes by either name or full name
Gender: stallion
Age: 3.5 years
Breed: Mustang/Thoroughbred
Height: 16 hh
Color: Blue roan
Alliance: Neutral
Deity: Zeus
Appearance: Blue Valentine is a stunning creature standing 16.1 hh which is fairly tall for a standard mustang. His coat color is beautiful, a mix of dark grey and black which blends to create a deep blue roan coat. Some describe his coat as stormy but he just says its blue. The tone of his coat however, does shift through his body. Around his head, neck, ears and legs the coloring is darker, a dusky shade of black. Across his back and flanks however, the color is lighter, more like the stormy grey mentioned earlier. On his forehead, Blue has a barely noticable star between his dark black eyes. In the dark you wouldn't notice it. His legs are dipped inky black, a little darker then the tone on his face. Valentine has long legs that carry him swiftly through the lands where he roams and strong muscles hold his body aloft. His head and bone structure are well carved from selective breeding, the strongest surviving while nature weeds out the weak.
Personality: Blue is the silent, watchful type. He often stands off in the background watching the others and making note of everything. Often his thoughts are his alone and it takes a little bit of proding to get him to say exactly what he's thinking. If you intend to befriend Valentine, I hope your patient. When someone gets on Valentine's bad side, it gets messy. When Valentine is angered he stays angry and his wrath is something worth fearing. What's worse is Valentine has a good memory. Those that wrong him are almost never forgotten. If someone catches his heart, Valentine is...a little possessive though he tries to keep himself in check. Between his brooding silence and constant moodiness it's hard to tell if Blue Valentine is a light or a dark. That is why he hangs in the middle, still not quite sure himself.
History: Valentine's herd was an alliance of light and when he was born at peace. His mother, Starry Sky, was protective of her son mainly because he was her first born. She was the daughter of the herd's lead stallion and in their herd, heirs got the herd when the leader died. Without a son, that meant Starry Sky got the herd for Valentine's sire had died during a battle with a rival stag. When Valentine's mother took over the herd from her aging father and mother, Blue was suddenly an unwilling leader for he was a year old at the time. His mother was a poor leader and when Blue tried to take over, it was too late. Starry Sky had desperately taken a loner as a mate in hopes of keeping peace in her herd because he seemed peaceful and kind. It turned out he was a dark. One by one, the herd's stallions were weeded out and either killed or banished. Valentine fought the stag and lost, barely managing to escape with his life.
Sample Roleplay:
The only sound over the plains was the echoing thud of a horse's hooves. Sharp daggers struck the ground in a steady beat, black banner and tassles whipping behind the stag like an inky breeze. The wind slipped easily along his streamlined frame and tall grasses whipped at Valentine's shadow-dipped legs as he galloped onward through the vast open plains. Some called these places lonely. To Blue Valentine they were perfectly good for a long gallop without anyone to bother you. His only company was his shadow and that was the only company he needed.
Muscles rippled smoothly under his dark grey-blue coat as he galloped up a slight slope, powerful pillars carrying him with ease. Ahead of him laid a stretch of plain broken by forest woodland that spread up to the mountian foothills. Beyond those mountians, Blue was sure he'd find his destiny, whatever it may be. He didn't hope for much but still continued onward, running with more energy despite the fact he had run for nearly two days straight. He didn't believe in destiny or fate but something drew him onward. What lay ahead was a mystery but that was how he liked it.
